At SeaPattern, we’re enabling the transition to renewable energy by unlocking the full potential of hydropower. Our modular, floating hydrokinetic turbines are placed in an optimized microgrid, increasing the energy output of existing hydropower plants without new infrastructure or environmental harm. The system is scalable, affordable, and non-invasive. Our technology also delivers sustainable power in remote areas and mission-critical energy solutions for disaster relief and defense.
Founded by scientists, engineers, and innovators, we’re now entering an exciting new phase—bringing our breakthrough technology to market. We are now scaling our team and are looking for a Founders Associate. You'll be a key team member in helping the founders manage and grow the company. In this dynamic role, you'll work across various aspects of the business, from daily operations to strategic projects, gaining exposure to everything it takes to build and scale a startup.
Main responsibilities
In this role you will support the founders (CEO & CTO) and assist with a broad range of tasks that help drive SeaPattern forward, such as:
- Operational efficiency, streamline daily processes and workflows, set up structure, systems and tools for finance, HR and legal to support the company’s growth
- Project management: Lead or support cross-functional projects, ensure smooth execution and meeting deadlines.
- Support with financial tasks such forecasting, tracking and reporting
- Stakeholder coordination: Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders such as customers, partners and suppliers to maintain strong relationships and partnerships.
- Insights and analysis: Conduct research on the customer and suppliers, regulatory insights, competitive landscape and new business opportunities, provide insights that will guide future decisions.
- Create presentation material such as pitch decks, investor updates and reports
- Support with recruitment, update career sites and social media, build university relations and administrate recruitment processes
- Ad-hoc responsibilities: Take ownership of special tasks and initiatives that arise, offering flexibility and creativity in tackling challenges.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone early in your career who is eager to learn how to scale and operate a deeptech startup, where you'll have the opportunity to "learn by doing" in all areas of the business. Over time, you’ll have the chance to grow into more specialized responsibilities as the company scales.
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Engineering or Business Administration.
- At least one year of experience from a fast-paced environment, having worked in startups or consulting is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proactive with a solutions mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Swedish is a plus).
- Tech-savvy, familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Trello, and Slack.
- Self-motivated team player, able to work closely with founder and stakeholders.
- Financial experience with budgeting, financial analysis and reports.
- Based in - or willing to relocate to Linköping.
Bonus: Experience from working with organisations focusing on R&D, Energy or Hydropower

Recruitment process
