About SeaPattern
Enabling a world where the full potential of hydropower is unlocked!
At SeaPattern, we’re enabling the transition to renewable energy by unlocking the full potential of hydropower. Our modular, floating hydrokinetic turbines are placed in an optimized microgrid, increasing the energy output of existing hydropower plants without new infrastructure or environmental harm. The system is scalable, affordable, and non-invasive. Our technology also delivers sustainable power in remote areas and mission-critical energy solutions for disaster relief and defense.
Founded by scientists, engineers, and innovators, we’re now entering an exciting new phase - bringing our breakthrough technology to market. We are looking to expand our team with brilliant minds who want to develop our technology and join our mission and are now looking for an Intern.
As our intern, you’ll take the lead on a hands-on analysis project focused on selected hydropower plants. Through on-site visits and data collection you’ll help us understand the real-world conditions our technology must meet. Your work will directly support the tailoring of our product development and provide valuable input to internal tools.
Alongside this core project, you’ll work closely with the SeaPattern team across functions, supporting day-to-day operations, ongoing initiatives, and ad hoc tasks. You’ll gain broad, hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct on-site visits to selected hydropower plants where our technology is planned to be deployed, to collect high-quality data.
- Structure and analyze the collected data to better understand the environmental and technical requirements our technology must meet.
- Capture drone footage from site visits to serve as input for our internal scoping tool, supporting large-scale data collection and training of AI/ML models.
- Collaborate closely with our engineers and use insights from the project to help adapt our technology.
But you will also...
- Support day-to-day operations by assisting colleagues with ongoing tasks and ad hoc assignments, gaining exposure to various parts of the business.
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach to handling data.
- Comfortable working independently in the field - including on-site visits and hands-on data collection - while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with data; familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization platforms is expected. Experience with drones or contributing to AI/ML datasets is a strong plus.
- Interest or experience in the energy sector is highly valuable.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish is a bonus).
Why Join SeaPattern?

About SeaPattern
SeaPattern was founded in Sweden by a team of visionary scientists, innovators and engineers who shared a common vision - to unleash the power of hydropower.
We want to make hydropower more efficient, sustainable and accessible. Our modular, floating hydrokinetic turbines are placed in an optimized microgrid, increasing the energy output of existing hydropower plants without new infrastructure or environmental harm. Our solution is scalable, affordable, and non-invasive, and can also serve as a standalone run-of-the-river solution in areas where traditional hydropower isn’t viable.
This kind of energy is exactly the kind of energy solution the world needs - fast, scalable, and affordable. The future of clean energy won’t build itself. Let’s get to work together - join our mission!
